When you’re planning to make Macrame feathers, I recommend ordering the following helpful supplies. I’ve listed my favorite Amazon products below.

Fabric Stiffener

To stiffen your feather so it stays in shape, I recommend Aleene’s 15581 Stiffen-Quick Fabric Stiffening Spray The formula dries clear so it doesn’t discolor your piece, and you can spray on more coats when you want a heavier shaping. To reshape your piece, simply wash out the spray.

Sharp Fabric Scissors or Shears

Especially for cutting feathers, sharp scissors are a must. I recommend the Gingher 8-Inch Knife Edge Dressmaker’s Shears or Fiskar Amplify Scissors.

Rotary Cutter

If you struggle to cut your feathers, a rotary cutter is a great alternative. I recommend the Fiskars Classic Comfort Rotary Cutter (45mm) or the Fiskars 60mm Rotary Cutter if you prefer a bigger size.

Brush

Pet brushes are the best way to brush out your Macrame feathers and this one does the job perfectly! I recommend the Hertzko Self Cleaning Slicker Brush.
