Plant Hangers, Cords, and Chaos: Meet Ilva
Welcome to the circus of Macrame 🎪, where it’s never just “simple and cute.” For Ilva, it’s knots, chaos, and more questionable life choices than anyone should have to admit. She started learning because she needed a couple of plant hangers. As she admits, “I can’t count, because a ‘couple’ very quickly turned into over a hundred.”
After trying her hand at wall hangings, keychains, and the occasional bag, she quickly realized that making things just because everyone else does isn’t her style. She sticks to what she actually enjoys: plant hangers. Lots and lots of plant hangers.
One thing I adore about Ilva is her humor and honesty. She doesn’t pretend to be a polished, professional Macrame artist. As she says, “I’m just someone who spends way too many hours silently swearing at cords until they finally decide to cooperate.” And I never related harder 😀
