I am Marloes, a full-time Macrame teacher from the Netherlands who currently resides in sunny Mallorca, Spain.
I discovered the art of Macrame around three years ago and LOVE how easy it is to get started with this amazing craft.

While learning Macrame, I couldn’t always find the best resources for beginners, so I decided to document my journey and share my knowledge to help others start more easily.
Macrameforbeginners.com was launched in May 2020 and has seen some crazy growth in 2.5 years, turning this tiny blog into a giant platform where we welcome over 5000 students daily.
On my blog, I offer beginners a stress-free and fun way to learn Macrame. In just three easy steps, they get introduced to all the essential information and can start working on trendy projects like plant hangers, wall hangings, earrings, bags, and more!
Our Community
To help aspiring artists connect with teachers and other beginners, I’ve created the Macrame for Beginners Facebook Group, which now counts over 90k+ members.
I also host a Monthly Macrame Challenge and offer Business Support for Macrame Makers who want to sell their creations on Etsy or Shopify.
Besides my Facebook communities, I run a popular Instagram account with over 30K followers to share inspiring new ideas and give all the wonderful Macrame artists, teachers, and suppliers a well-deserved shout-out!
